SYMPTOMS
========

When you print to a serial printer, data may be lost and print jobs may be
incomplete or corrupt. This problem usually occurs at baud transmissions
higher than 2400.

CAUSE
=====

This problem occurs when the Windows NT Kernel does not pass Flow Control
information from the serial port(s) to Print Manager correctly.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1. A fix to this problem is in development, but
has not been regression-tested and may be destabilizing in production
environments. Microsoft does not recommend implementing this fix at this
time. Contact Microsoft Product Support Services for more information on
the availability of this fix.
